Wellbeing Dates & Activities

Please see below for a Powerpoint detailing Maple Tree's Whole School Mental Health Approach shared with staff in Summer 2022 :)

There is also a SEND & Wellbeing Calendar 2022-2023, which incorporates a monthly mental health focus for the children across the school - perhaps you can try some of these with your children at home :)

All children across the school use the check-in strip below at register times to let staff know how they are feeling.  Children from Reception to Yea6 use the strip below.  Our children in preschool use a thumbs-up, down or sideways, to show how they are feeling.  Staff then check-in with children to find out why they have chosen a number, particularly if it is 4/5.  This is proving invaluable as children are now learning from a young age to open up and talk about their feelings, thus leading to more self-resilience when they reach our older age groups.
